A message from Élaine

Hello to all,

I would like to start by thanking you for the confidence you have placed in me on May 2nd, 2012.  I would also like to thank you for the support given to me since I opened my new office. My constituency office is there so that I may better make contact with citizens, community groups, businesses, and other elcted officials.  

I encourage you all to come and meet with me if you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas.   If there are any events that you wish me to attend, it would be a pleasure to try and juggle my schedule to be able to attend.

Do not hesitate to get in contact with me through my two constituency team members Carl Houde and David Chamberland, or with my Parliament Hill team, Josiane Hardy and Paul Rowe.  It would be their pleasure to help you.

  • Member of Parliament since May 2nd, 2011, Élaine now lives in Neuville.
  • Élaine’s new constituency bureau, located in Pont-Rouge, was inaugurated August 6th.
  • Presently a member of the Official Languages Committee (LANG).
  • NDP caucus representative on the NDP Federal Council.
  • Vice-president of the Canada-France Interparliamentary Association.

 

Education :

  • Élaine holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and political science from the Université Laval.
  • She also began a Master’s in public administration at the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP) in September of 2010.

 

Professional Experience :

  • Information officer at the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec.
  • Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Quebec Section of the NDP between 2006 and 2008
  • Member of the Executive Committee of Young New Democrats of Quebec and Young New Democrats of Canada until 2010.
  • Member of the NDP Federal Council from August 2009 until June 2011.
